Does Getting Older Really Turn You Into A Cantankerous Asshole?

If we’re to believe the results that come up with a Google search, the phenomenon of becoming a cantankerous old fart as you age is exclusively a male problem (you’ll notice there is no female equivalent of the 1993 Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon classic, Grumpy Old Men). Amongst these search results, there are only two articles that suggest grumpy old women even exist, and one of those only addresses it in parentheses.

Everything That Happens To Your Body Over The Course Of A Summer

Summer is here, which means the usual: Seeing/avoiding a dozen different superhero movies; falling asleep in a park somewhere and waking up with a farmer’s tan, and attending at least three barbecues where you get stuck talking to someone who can’t shut up about Bitcoin. But on a more personal level, your body is going to go through a number of changes with the season — here are the biggest ones…

Hypogonadism (Low T)

Hypogonadism is a medical condition based on specific signs and symptoms including low energy, low sexual desire, erectile dysfunction, depressed mood, and decreased muscle strength. Testosterone naturally declines in all men by about 1% per year after age 35-40, but low testosterone can occur in men of any age. Hypogonadism affects up to 30% of the adult male population, but unfortunately, as few as 5% of hypogonadal men receive treatment. If you have experienced any of these symptoms, contact us to learn about safe, effective options to restore you back to your former self. read more >

Dr. Gonzalez has been an asset for our male and female patients suffering from pelvic pain syndromes such as Vulvodynia, Interstitial Cystitis, Pudendal Neuralgia, and Chronic “Prostatitis.” His expertise in these disorders has helped many of our patients eliminate their pain and restore their sexual health. As a patient of Dr. Joshua Gonzalez, I can’t recommend him highly enough!. My pain was under control for about 4 years until April 2016 when I began to experience continuously escalating pain and recurrent pelvic infections over a period of several months. I live near the medical miracle centers in Houston, yet … none of them were able to identify why I was experiencing this pain. When my pelvic physical therapist from Los Angeles where I seek treatment often recommended that I see Dr. Gonzalez for evaluation, he immediately identified the root cause of my issues upon his initial physical exam of me and began hormone treatment that day. He made me feel extremely comfortable and respected my emotional state of mind back then just as he does today. Dr. Gonzalez is very kind, compassionate, professional, diligent, and successful in providing exceptional care for me. He has successfully treated me for more than a year now from California while I remain in Texas. He is easy to reach when I need his medical expertise, and he always takes the time to listen and provide support both emotionally and physically. I feel great again, I no longer have infections or continuous pain! I whole-heartedly encourage you to take the opportunity to experience the superior medical care Dr. Joshua Gonzalez can provide for you … you will be extremely pleased with your decision!

Doctor Gonzalez is the reason my life in my seventh decade has been turbocharged. I saw him for all the usual embarrassing and inconvenient complications of an enlarged prostate and he guided me to a minimally invasive procedure that was just short of miraculous giving me back full nights’ sleep.
Once we explored my testosterone level which we found to be abysmally low I got a thorough education in hormone replacement that cut through the fear and misinformation and led me to a regimen that feels as if I’ve dropped decades off my age.
I’m grateful to Doctor Gonzalez for his professionalism and his easygoing manner, his encouragement and his availability. He’s an essential member of my health team.
